Mr David Rogalski is a lead pharmacist and independent prescriber working in the NHS at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. He has postgraduate qualifications in advanced pharmacy practice and psychiatric therapeutics and is a credentialed member of the college of mental health pharmacy. He works in a single point of access mental health advice and assessment service alongside GPs delivering direct patient care and consultation on medications for complex psychiatric conditions. His field of interest is in relational prescribing. He also holds a senior pharmacy role leading the drugs and therapeutics group reviewing medication treatments using an evidence-based approach, delivering education and training, developing prescribing guidelines, and formulary management. Both he and his co-speaker Dr Dimitrios Chartonas are founding members of the group Psychodynamics of Prescribing - UK (PoP-UK) and co-authors of the paper ‘Will this tablet make me happy again? The contribution of relational prescribing in providing a pragmatic and psychodynamic framework for prescribers’. They have both given numerous talks on relational prescribing in London, nationally and internationally. They have also collaborated to produce an up-to-date prescribing guidance for treating people with borderline personality disorder for the North Central London Mental Health Partnership, with a focus on relational factors.
