This session will explore what is meant by the term sustainable healthcare and why it is vital to future healthcare services. We will explore how sustainable healthcare provides quality clinical care in a way that maximises positive health outcomes through best use of environmental, social and financial resources. We will follow a patient journey through pharmacy sectors and apply the principles of sustainable healthcare to demonstrate how sustainability can be incorporated into routine pharmacy practice.
