10 May 2024
Clinical Leadership Theatre
There has been much publicity around the harms of taking Dependence Forming Medicines and the need for action. However, in order to achieve this we need to change the way we think about, talk about, and treat persistent pain to enable it to be better understood and better managed without the need for these types of medicines. This session will look at ways to improve the support and management of persistent pain both across organisations and at individual patient level. We will look at the latest science around persistent pain and what this means for achieving better health outcomes for these patients and for reducing our use of Dependence Forming Medicines
