This session explores cardiology focused physical assessment techniques that pharmacists can use to identify and manage a variety of cardiac conditions. The session emphasises practical skills that can be applied in various care settings, from secondary care clinic to primary care clinics.

 

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the role of pharmacists in cardiology assessment and management.

2. Demonstrate basic cardiac assessment techniques, including inspection, palpation and auscultation.

3. Identify common cardiac conditions and recognise red flags for referral.
