This session will highlight the changing use of DOACs since the COVID pandemic with a focus on safety and renal issues, highlighting PrescQIPP’s collaborative work with NHS England and OpenSafely and other resources.
 
The session will also discuss the current financial landscape around DOACs including patent changes and availability of generics and national rebates.
  • To understand safety issues in relation to DOAC prescribing.
  • To understand monitoring requirements with DOACs in relation to renal impairment.
  • To explore medicines value in relation to DOACs.
