Inclusive leadership in pharmacy: driving diversity in senior roles

09 May 2025
Showcase Theatre

This session explores the importance of inclusive leadership for the pharmacy profession. Despite growing awareness of inequality in healthcare leadership, diversity at senior levels in pharmacy remains limited. We will explore how inclusive leadership can be a catalyst for change, using the ENIGMA mentoring initiative as an example.

The session will highlight current challenges, share insights from the ENIGMA Mentoring Initiative from the perspective of a previous mentee, and offer practical strategies to support a more equitable and representative leadership structure within the pharmacy profession.

By the end of the session, attendees will:

  • Understand the importance of diversity in pharmacy leadership.
  • Understand what inclusive leadership is, and how it is essential for inclusive pharmacy practice.
  • Identify strategies for promoting inclusivity, such as the ENIGMA Mentoring Initiative.
  • Feel more empowered to create inclusive environments in the workplace.
