This session explores respiratory focused physical assessment techniques that pharmacists can use to identify and manage a variety of respiratory conditions. The session emphasises practical skills that can be applied in various care settings, from secondary care clinic to primary care clinics to community pharmacy.

 

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the role of pharmacists in respiratory assessment and management.

2. Demonstrate basic respiratory assessment techniques, including inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation.

3. Identify common respiratory conditions and recognise red flags for referral.
