CVD Prevention in pharmacy to address health inequalities

Cardiovascular disease is a national priority and well-recognised as a driver of health inequalities. This session will consider the current position with regards to CVD prevention and opportunities for pharmacy across all sectors to deliver at pace and scale.
- To describe the role of CV risk factors in driving CV mortality, morbidity and associated health inequalities
- To understand the current level of performance relating to detection and management of the three high risk conditions, AF, blood pressure and cholesterol
- To highlight the current priorities of the national CVD Prevention programme
- To demonstrate the opportunities for pharmacy to deliver better outcomes in people with or at risk of CVD
