This session will explore the importance of a holistic approach to monitoring patients with or at risk of CVD in primary care to facilitate early detection and intervention and reduce risks.

  1. To understand the current position on screening for CV disease in primary care and implications for practice
  2. To be able to explain key monitoring parameters for common CV conditions, including detection
  3. To be able to explain the key monitoring parameters for commonly used drugs in managing people with CV risk factors or conditions
  4. To understand the importance of taking a holistic approach to CV monitoring and management
