Igniting the journey - National Pharmacy Care Home Faculty

This session will introduce the National Pharmacy Care Home Faculty (NPCHF), a Specialist Interest Faculty in affiliation with the PCPA dedicated to supporting pharmacy professionals working in care homes. It will explore the Faculty’s role in strengthening professional voice, advancing education, and promoting research and best practice in medicines optimisation in care homes. Attendees will learn about key initiatives, including peer-to-peer support networks, webinars, and shared resources, as well as opportunities for collaboration and professional development. This session will showcase the key workstreams of the NPCHF, highlighting its impact across advocacy, education, research, and professional networking. Attendees will gain insight into how the Faculty is championing pharmacy professionals in care homes, delivering high-quality learning opportunities, supporting research engagement, and building a strong, connected community. The session will also explore collaborative work with stakeholders and other professions to elevate the role of pharmacy and improve outcomes for care home residents. Participants will discover how they can get involved, become members and contribute to shaping the future of care home pharmacy practice.
