Getting into research in primary or secondary care - where to begin

08 May 2026
Leadership & Professional Development Theatre
Engaging with research is part of all postregistration curricula for pharmacy professionals - and those who do can often find it to be rewarding, improve their clinical knowledge and open up opportunities for their patients to access novel therapies. Despite this, the profession remains underrepresented in terms of research activity. Our panel are all passionate about research and keen to encourage others to increase their research activity. They will share their stories about how they got involved and offer advice to others on where to begin - whether they work in primary or secondary care.

Gareth Malson, Lead PCN pharmacist - Chester East PCN
Hadeel Mohamed, Lead Pharmacist Education & Training, Deputy Head of Clinical Pharmacy and Founder - Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust, SEL GP Group and ENIGMA Mentoring Initiative
