Pharmacy Technician workforce development

This session will outline how we’re strengthening the pharmacy technician workforce by building capacity, skills, and career opportunity across sectors. We’ll share what the workforce data shows and what that means for planning education and training at scale. The session will cover current national training initiatives, including funded pre‑registration routes, alongside the rationale and next steps for harmonising funding to improve equity and sustainability across England. We’ll also highlight post‑registration development opportunities. Finally, we’ll update on work to develop a post‑registration career framework.

Chairperson
Yinka Kuye, Head of Pharmacy, Primary Care Transformation - Frimley Integrated Care System
