System-level change in primary care: the BLMK CVRM Accelerator in action

This session explores how BLMK ICS and Soar Beyond successfully designed and delivered a large-scale CVRM workforce transformation programme using a compliant multi-pharmaceutical company funding model. With increasing scrutiny around industry collaboration, this programme demonstrates how robust governance structures, clear role delineation, and strict adherence to the ABPI Code of Practice can enable multi-partner sponsorship at scale. Attendees will gain insight into how common compliance and governance barriers—such as perceived conflicts of interest, funding restrictions, and stakeholder alignment—were proactively addressed to unlock system-wide benefits. Alongside this, the session will highlight how the model supported the upskilling of pharmacy teams to deliver proactive, preventative CVRM care. This is highly relevant for systems and pharmacy leaders looking to implement similar compliant, scalable approaches to workforce development.

  • * Understand how a healthcare system can design and implement a compliant multi-pharma funding model aligned to the ABPI Code of Practice
  • * Recognise common governance and compliance barriers to industry collaboration, and how these can be effectively mitigated in practice
  • * Apply key principles to establish transparent, scalable partnerships that enable workforce transformation and improved CVRM outcomes
