From aspiration to action: becoming an advanced pharmacist

08 May 2026
Leadership & Professional Development Theatre

To provide pharmacists, pharmacy leaders, and employers with a clear, accessible understanding of what Advanced Practice is, why it is needed, and the pathways available to achieve Advanced Practice or support others to do so.

There will be a Q&A session with our panel, which includes credentialed pharmacists.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the continuum of practice from foundation level training to consultant level practice and the need for an advanced practice pharmacist workforce.
  • Distinguish between different pathways available via either NHS England and/or RPS credentialling.
  • Hear from advanced practice pharmacists who have completed different routes about the value this brings to their role working across four pillars of practice, and overall patient care.
