CVD Prevention – A time for pharmacy action!

This session will discuss the current national picture in relation to CVD prevention and highlight the impact of covid-19. CVD Prevention is a national priority and there are many new initiatives to support better care which will be discussed. Pharmacy, across all sectors, has a key role to play in supporting better CVD prevention and these will be highlighted. Attendees will be challenged to consider how they can contribute to the CVD prevention agenda and how pharmacy as a profession can work together to improve patient outcomes.

  • to understand the current unmet need in CVD prevention, including the impact of COVID-19
  • to describe the national strategy for CVD Prevention
  • to identify opportunities for pharmacy to contribute to the CVD Prevention
