In response to the pandemic NHS Digital has been working with Trusts and a system supplier to develop and deliver a programme of work to collect electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) data from 25 Trusts in England and 6 Health Boards in Scotland. Over the next few years ePMA data will routinely collected from all Trusts in England that utilise one or more ePMA systems. The data will contribute significantly to information and surveillance about medicine safety and effectiveness and improving future patient outcomes.
