Greener health care & sustainability: The role of the clinical pharmacist in primary care

The climate emergency is a health emergency & with medicines & inhalers making up over 60% of the primary care carbon footprint, & 79% of NHS prescribing taking place in primary care, this session illustrates how clinical pharmacists & their teams can, & must, have a significant impact in helping the NHS meet its target of net zero by 2040. Examples of successful practice will be shared, extending beyond prescribing, with resources & strategies for promoting change at the individual & system level.
