Pharmacy Educational Supervisors Network: Cross-sector peer support in the East of England
The pharmacy educational supervisors’ network was established in the east of England region in September 2021 as a peer support group for pharmacy professionals who have educational supervision responsibilities for trainee pharmacists. The network covers all sectors of practice to provide a collaborative forum for: collective discussions on the practice of educational supervision, sharing of best practice through reflections, focused discussions and resources and the exploration practical solutions to support the development of members of the network. Membership includes designated supervisors, practice supervisors, training facilitators and academics supporting trainee pharmacists.
This presentation will provide an insight into the steps taken to establish the network, achievements to date and opportunities to development similar groups. Pharmacy professionals including pharmacists and technicians across all sectors would find this presentation useful to initially explore the opportunities within their localities and how they can progress with establishing a similar network.
