Poisonings: What happens after A&E

A brief journey through the world of poisoning and toxidromes and their initial and onward management in secondary care.
We'll follow a patient through the hospital post admission with poisoning up to point of discharge.

  • Briefly outline different toxidromes.
  • Understanding of what happens after acute management of poisoning and patient journey afterwards.
  • Discuss three pathways, discharge, ward care, intensive care setting.
  • Highlight RCEM Antidote list and local holdings.
