Nuala will share a summary of the Medicine waste in care homes project, which was funded via the Q exchange. Hear how project teams with representatives from care homes, GP practices and community pharmacies worked together to explore the environmental and social impacts of medicine waste. Key findings will be shared, including factors contributing to waste in the medicines pathway and unexpected carbon hotspots. Recommendations at practice and strategic level will be outlined, with a focus on accountability for medicines waste.
