This session provides a clinical overview of liver complications from the pharmacist’s perspective, focusing on the impact of hepatic dysfunction on pharmacotherapy.
It will cover key considerations in drug selection, dosing adjustments, and monitoring strategies in patients with liver disease. Drawing on real-world case examples, the talk will highlight the pharmacist’s role in multidisciplinary care.
Attendees will gain practical insights into managing conditions such as cirrhosis, portal hypertension, hepatic encephalopathy, variceal bleeding/prevention, and ascites within specialist settings.
