In this session you will hear a brief review of the origin and development of the NHS Consultant Pharmacist role, to provide context for the recent changes in refreshed guideline, published in 2020.  You will then learn about the new Royal Pharmaceutical Society post approval process and how to distinguish between and advanced practitioner and a consultant pharmacist. If you are interested in becoming a Consultant pharmacist, you will hear how you can become credentialled and how to develop yourself towards applying for a Consultant Pharmacist post. You will receive some "top tips" for completing the role approval process and the individual credentialling process.
