There are many options for optimising anti thrombotic therapy (anticoagulation and antiplatelet therapy) in patients following angioplasty.  This session aims to discuss the usually antithrombotic regimes and considerations in more complex patients with co-morbidities through the use of a case studies.  We will also review considerations for optimisation of antithrombotic therapy following one year of therapy after stent implantation and discuss the relative merits of continuing an antiplatelet or adding low dose anticoagulation to aspirin.
