Delegate FAQs

Who organises the Congress?

CloserStill Media Healthcare organise some of the UK’s leading and award-winning healthcare conferences and exhibitions – including The Pharmacy Show, The Acute & General Medicine Conference, the Dentistry Show, The Commissioning Show, and The London Vet Show.

We are aware of the multiple pressures placed on the pharmacy team given NHS cuts, the increasing pressure to deliver better patient outcomes, to keep up-to-date on clinical developments, updated on new medicines and the maintenance of CPD portfolios.  So we have designed the Congress programme with these challenges in mind and to help address your general and specialist pharmacists’ needs in conjunction with the Centre for Pharmacy Post-Graduate Education (CPPE), with leadership sessions from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) and new technology sessions in conjunction with the NHS Commercial Medicines Unit (CMU).

How much is the delegate pass?

£499 + VAT for clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Most GPhC pharmacists and technicians will see the delegate fees waived with the unique Congress education codes to enable them to attend for free – see below. The price for Industrial pharmacists and non-healthcare professionals will be £499 + VAT.

Terms & Conditions

Delegates with paid for places may receive a full refund (minus a 10% admin fee) up until 31st March 2017. After this date, delegates are entitled to a 50% refund (minus a 10% admin fee) if they cancel on or before the 30th April 2017. There are no refunds after 30th April.

Places may be transferred to a colleague or to 2018 without incurring any charge.

What is a voucher / education code?

We are aware that training and education budgets will be as tight as they’ve ever been, so thanks to the partnerships with Congress sponsors and exhibitors, we are able to underwrite a limited number of the delegate places. Each hospital in the UK will receive a voucher code to access up to 10 free pharmacists, 5 pharmacy technicians and 2 pre-registration places – worth over £10,000.

There are also 5 vouchers available for any Technical, Product & QA pharmacy professionals and 2 vouchers available for Medicines Information pharmacists.

Am I eligible for an education code / discount?

If you have a GPhC number and work within a UK hospital you should be able to access a voucher code through your Chief Pharmacist or Training and Education Manager.

•    If you do not know your hospital code please email here
•    If you are a clinical pharmacist working in the community or primary care please email here
•    If you are a clinical pharmacist working outside the UK please email here

Please note, voucher codes for the 2017 Congress will be issued in Winter 2016. Please speak with your Chief Pharmacist or Head of Department to access this code.

Why Exhibit

As everyone knows, nothing gets on to the formulary these days without the signature of the pharmacist. And if you want to sell equipment or technologies into a hospital dispensary – you will need to convince the pharmacists before going through the procurement process.
