AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack

Fontus Health Stand: C60
AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack
AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack - helping your patients choose the right emollient for them
Fontus Health will be showcasing the AproDerm® Emollient Starter Pack at the Clinical Pharmacy congress (Stand C60).

Drug Tariff listed the AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack contains 4 types of emollient that vary in greasiness, consistency, and ingredients. Patients can try all four emollients before deciding which one(s) they prefer to use, taking into account the dryness of their skin, lifestyle, personal preference, and age. The AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack is the most efficient way for your patients to choose the emollient that works best for them, aiding compliance and adherence and so ensuring successful emollient therapy, which is key to dry skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis and ichthyosis.

The AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack contains:

  1. AproDerm Colloidal Oat Cream, a light, paraffin-free emollient which has all the benefits of colloidal oat including protecting and restoring the skin barrier, soothing the itch, irritation and redness associated with dry skin conditions like eczema, ichthyosis and psoriasis, as well as having humectant properties and maintaining the skin’s normal pH. AproDerm Colloidal Oat is a moisturiser which can also be used as an effective soap substitute, to prevent the skin from drying out further.
  2. AproDerm Emollient Cream is slightly richer than AproDerm Colloidal Oat Cream, however, it's still light and easily absorbed, whilst being cooling and moisturising. It can also be used as an effective soap substitute, to prevent the skin from drying out further.
  3. AproDerm Gel is a highly moisturising gel, without the greasiness of an ointment, that actively draws and retains moisture within the skin and provides a protective barrier to help reduce dryness and irritation. It is also an effective pre-bathing emollient so can be applied to skin prior to bathing to prevent it from drying out even further, whilst protecting it from the irritant effects that can be caused by washing and bathing products such as soaps, shower gels and shampoos.
  4. The final emollient is AproDerm Ointment, the most intensely moisturising emollient within the pack. Providing long-lasting hydration it soothes, moisturises, and enhances the skin barrier and is especially good for overnight use and hand eczema.
  5. The pack also comes with a patient self-care guide that is filled with useful information on applying emollients, tips on how patients can get the best from their emollients, potential triggers as well as the additional support that is available to them.

All the AproDerm emollients are suitable from birth, SLS free, parabens free, fragrance free, colour free, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly. The AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack is the quickest and most efficient way to prescribe the right emollient for your patients, prescribe today and see the difference.
