Europe’s largest two day gathering of the clinical pharmacy community returns and attracts 2,789 delegates and 180 exhibitors.

On the 12th and 13th May 2023, the Clinical Pharmacy Congress returned to the ExCeL London for two action-packed days of learning, networking, and celebration. The multi award-winning trade show delivered its 12th edition and was the biggest in-person gathering of the clinical pharmacy community in two years across Europe.

Feedback coming in from speakers, exhibitors and delegates has been highly positive – with businesses reporting two extremely successful days of sales and networking. They also noted the special atmosphere around the exhibition floor and how great it felt to be reunited.

Laura Shapiro, Group Event Director said: ‘I am thrilled by the tremendous success of the Clinical Pharmacy Congress. This year's event has exceeded all expectations, bringing together an amazing number of attendees and showcasing the remarkable growth and impact of clinical pharmacy. The congress has served as a hub for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation, empowering healthcare professionals to drive advancements in patient care. Witnessing the passion and dedication of our attendees and the positive feedback received, I am immensely proud of the success we have achieved. We are committed to further elevating the congress in the years to come, continually providing a platform that inspires, educates, and shapes the future of clinical pharmacy.'

Iona Johnstone, Brand Manager, Bayer plc said 'We have a longstanding history of attending this event, and it's truly one of our favourites. We appreciate the ample stand space provided, allowing us to showcase our brands on a larger scale. What sets this event apart is the strategic placement of symposia sessions in the main hall. Unlike other events where delegates disperse to separate locations for sessions, here it creates a vibrant atmosphere with constant engagement. The hall remains bustling with activity, offering numerous networking opportunities. I particularly appreciate this aspect of the event.'

Carron Evans, Clinical Pharmacist, Spire Portsmouth Hospital said: ‘The conference programme has been brilliant. I like that there’s something here for everyone, there’s Clinical leadership, professional development, industry updates, innovation… A bit of everything.'

Vivek Soni, Deputy Chief Pharmacist & Deputy Clinical Director of Medicines Optimisation, University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, said 'We’ve exhibited for the second year in a row and we’ve got a recruitment stall here because it’s an excellent opportunity to showcase the Trust and also meet trainee pharmacists and other colleagues that might be looking for the next step in their career. This year has been really good, we’ve been fortunate to have a good position with good footfall. There are fantastic sessions this year which have discussed some of the pressing issues in the profession at the moment, like workforce, recruitment, retention, digital, and innovation.'

The Clinical Pharmacy Congress returns 10th-11th May 2024 at the ExCeL, London and the CPC team cannot wait to unite the profession once again.
