We are delighted to announce that the submission call for abstracts is now open for the Clinical Pharmacy Congress (CPC) North 2024 Poster Zone! This is your chance to showcase your innovative work in clinical pharmacy practice and patient care to a wide audience of professionals in the field. The deadline for abstract submissions is 18 August 2024.

Application Process and Guidance

To ensure a fair and rigorous selection process, an independent adjudication panel will be convened to assess all submissions. This esteemed panel will evaluate the abstracts and determine which ones will be presented at CPC North.

Important Notes:

• Authors of all accepted abstracts must attend CPC North in 2024.
• The panel’s decision is final and will not be open to discussion or correspondence.
• Companies associated with any panel member are generally not eligible for consideration.
• Rules and notes may be modified at the discretion of the panel.

Poster Criteria

Your abstract should highlight a positive and/or innovative piece of work related to clinical pharmacy practice and/or patient care. We welcome abstracts on topics such as service evaluation, clinical audit, quality improvement, and pharmacy practice research.

Abstracts will be assessed based on:

• Quality: The overall standard and clarity of the abstract.
• Relevance: The significance of the project to current clinical pharmacy practice.
• Positive and Innovative Approach: Evidence of novel and beneficial approaches.
• Awareness of Current NHS Policies and Practices: Alignment with current standards and policies.
• Reproducibility: The ability for the project to be replicated in other settings.

Please Note: Non-conformance to the abstract structure will result in rejection.

Abstract Structure

To facilitate a smooth submission process, please adhere to the following structure using our provided template entry form:

• Title
• Authors and Affiliation
• Background and Introduction
• Aims and Objectives
• Method
• Results
• Discussion and Conclusion
• References (max 3)

You may include one image, graph, chart, or table. Additionally, ensure that you provide relevant justification for ethical approval. The word count excludes the title, authors, subheadings, references, and tables/images.

Adjudication Process

The independent adjudication panel will make the final decision on the acceptance of abstracts based on the criteria outlined above. The panel's decisions are final and will not be subject to further discussion or correspondence.
