NHS SPS Supporting Medication Safety Across the System

On 29th March SPS are launching on a new series of webinars to support Medication Safety Across The System (MSATS). They invite all healthcare professionals with a passion for medication safety to join the movement to make medications safer. We aim to inspire partnership working across the system with each quarterly webinar focusing on a different safety concern.

Medication safety is everyone’s responsibility. This webinar series aims to bring together medication safety activists to explore key safety issues where a system wide response is needed. Attendees will benefit from hearing from real world experiences, including insights, support, and shared learning giving practical solutions which can be replicated or adapted for local use.

The first webinar will focus on opioids which have the potential to do more harm than good when used for chronic non-cancer pain that has no treatable cause, particularly when used at higher doses.  Join in our discussions to kick start or booster your system’s journey in tackling opioid safety.

If you want to find out more about the MSATS webinar series listen to the introductory podcast, and register for the first event.
