PrescQIPP Annual Awards 2026

PrescQIPP Annual Awards 2026

PrescQIPP is a not for profit company funded by the NHS for the NHS. We produce a huge range of evidence based resources and practical implementation tools to help clinicians improve patient care.

If you have been working on a project and would like recognition for you and your team’s hard work and to share what you have done with others, why not enter the 2026 PrescQIPP Annual awards and be in with a chance of winning a prestigious PrescQIPP award.

Our five award categories for 2026 align with current NHS priorities –

  • Addressing health inequalities
  • Care homes/domiciliary care/carer medicines optimisation
  • Data tools and technology to support medicines optimisation
  • Enhanced productivity, sustainability and value for money
  • Patient safety and addressing overprescribing

The 2026 Annual Awards webpage has lots of FAQs to help you with your entry.

Top tips for entering

  • Refer to the judging criteria to help you write your entry.
  • Have a look at some previous winners projects to see what sort of information they included.
  • The entry form is the main element that your project will be judged on. Attachments can help to support your entry, but please ensure that any key information is included on the entry form.
  • The ‘Patient safety and addressing overprescribing’ category is often popular. If you’re considering entering in this category, think about whether your project is a good fit for any of the other categories. It is of course up to you where you think your project fits best, but please note that each project can only be entered into one category.

Why you should enter the awards

  • Free presenting with impact coaching for winners with our annual event chairman and performance coach, Jamie Hayes.
  • Recognition among peers across the UK, with a presentation slot at the event (all event expenses paid).
  • Chance to adorn your desk with a prestigious PrescQIPP award!
  • Most importantly, a great opportunity to highlight and share good practice for the benefit of patients.
  • All winners will be able to share their project and outcomes to a wider audience on a 1 hour “Award winners” PrescQIPP webinar.

You don't need to be a PrescQIPP subscriber to enter the awards, as they're open to all NHS teams across all sectors.

Just complete the on-line entry form before Friday 15th May 2026.

Our ethos is to “do once and share” to reduce duplication and variation in the NHS. One of the ways we support this is to share all the projects that are submitted for our annual awards on our website.

The Annual Awards will be presented at the PrescQIPP Annual Event on Friday 25th September 2026, 10.00 – 15.30 at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham, NG7 2RJ.
