Who we are
PrescQIPP is a Community Interest Company funded by the NHS for the NHS.
We produce evidence based resources and implementation tools for medicines related interventions, with a “do once and share” ethos to reduce unnecessary duplication and variation in the NHS.
What we do
PrescQIPP primarily provide a host of resources and data to help you optimise medicines, improve medicines safety and patient outcomes. In addition, PrescQIPP also create and deliver a range of training resources to help upskill healthcare professionals to tackle medicines optimisation issues more confidently.
Who are our subscribers, who can use our resources
We have a UK wide subscriber base that includes all the English Integrated Care Boards (ICBs); Health boards (HBs) in Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and Jersey. We also have some Scottish HBs as subscribers.
The PrescQIPP membership benefits are freely available to ICB/HB Chief pharmacists and their teams, finance teams, pharmacists in acute, community and mental health trusts, GP practice staff, PCNs and clusters, care homes pharmacy professionals and all community pharmacists.

Our learning resources include –
- Masterclasses are monthly clinical webinars, across a variety of key therapeutic areas and delivered by national experts in their field.
- Clinical and skills webinars covering topical issues such as, using the IMPACT resources, data and analysis tools, and mentoring.
- Practice Plus monthly webinar to connect and upskill PCN and practice pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Prescribing Mastery webinars utilise action learning opportunities to share, learn and optimise prescribing practice on range of a clinical areas.
- Series of social prescribing webinars run by the National Academy for Social Prescribing highlight the evidence, need and impact of social prescribing across the life-course.
- Series of carbon awareness and sustainability in healthcare webinars delivered by Lighthouse Sustainability covering topics such as impacts of climate change, carbon footprinting and circular economy and waste.
- Series of webinars on Parkinsons disease in collaboration with the Parkinson’s Disease Specialist Pharmacy Network (PDSPN), improving the care and management of people living with Parkinson’s disease.
- Series of genomics informed medicines optimisation webinars with the NHS Genomic Medicine Service lead pharmacists, designed to help healthcare professionals confidently integrate genomics informed medicines optimisation into everyday clinical practice.
- Talking Meds fortnightly podcast exploring and debating current medical issues and clinical dilemmas.

PrescQIPP e-learning courses have been completed by over 40,000 professionals across the UK and beyond including GPs, nurse prescribers, PCN / practice pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, community pharmacists and care home staff and social care providers. All our courses are CPD accredited.
