Improving opioid stewardship: an integrated care approach

The session will focus on outlining a collaborative approach to the work of Manchester locality primary and secondary care teams to improve opioid stewardship. NHS GM Manchester locality team and Manchester Foundation Trust pharmacy team have come together to share their experiences with harnessing systemwide working. The content of the session will cover challenges around opioid stewardship and outline quality improvement methodology which supported overcoming of some of the barriers. The outcomes of the interventions and future improvement plans will be part of the presentation.
