This session will provide an overview of the principles of sustainable healthcare and how they can be applied to pharmacy practice to the benefit of patient and planet. Examples of sustainable pharmacy practice addressing issues such as choice of formulation, single use plastics and medicines waste will be presented. The Sustainable Pharmacy Network, hosted by the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare, will be presented, providing an opportunity to engage with like-minded pharmacy teams and access a wealth of case studies and other sustainable healthcare resources.
