Adam Khimji

Clinical Transformation Lead for Digital Medicines Optimisation
Adam is the Deputy Chief Pharmacist at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust and is an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham. After completing his MPharm degree he registered as a Pharmacist initially working across care settings, in various roles including, ePMA Pharmacist, Project Manager and Product Manager. He obtained his Clinical Pharmacy Diploma in secondary care in April 2017. He was responsible for the piloting and development of the Electronic Prescribing Medicines Administration (ePMA) Digital Maturity Tool as part of a role funded by the WMAHSN. Adam has implemented ePMA and other digital solutions including several first of type solutions across the NHS and in Private Healthcare. His experience also includes time working in industry. Adam was part of Cohort 4 of the NHS Digital Academy from which he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Health Leadership. Adam contributed to several outputs of the NIHR funded ePrescribing Research Programme. Adam has expertise in ePMA, digital maturity, clinical decision support and medication safety.
