Alex is a self-proclaimed pharmacy nerd who works as an ED pharmacist (with additional responsibilities for Acute Medicine, Mental Health and Clinical Pharmacology). She has a specialist interested in the management of acute pain. She is passionate about parity of care for patients with serious mental illness and the need to address health inequalities for this group. In 2023 she was invited to participate in the NHSE workshop for ED design for new hospitals. She is also interested in medication and patient safety, particularly systems approaches and understanding approaches to risk. She has taught on this subject for the UEA PGDip.
