Alex has worked as a pharmacist for over 20 years spanning hospital, community and primary care sectors across a variety of strategic models for medicines optimisation. One of the early independent prescribers Alex has long been a champion of the development of the pharmacy professions and an active seeker of innovative solutions to long standing issues. He advises nationally on key directions and changes within the NHS to guide education, research and market access. Alex is currently the Chief Pharmacy Officer for South Yorkshire ICB.
