Alicia Painter is a Pharmacist Specialist within the Medicines Optimisation Team at the Care Quality Commission (CQC), where she plays a key role in supporting inspections, offering expert advice, and championing safe and effective medicines use across health and social care. With over a decade of clinical and regulatory experience gained through various NHS organisations, Alicia brings a broad and deep understanding of medicines management across sectors. Her particular passion lies in adult social care, where she focuses on improving outcomes, empowering care teams, and ensuring that medicines management is not only safe and effective but also person-centred. At the CQC, Alicia specialises in working with adult social care providers, helping them navigate complex medicines-related challenges and promoting best practices that enhance the quality of care.
