Alison Scowcroft

Alison is a pharmacist with 25 years’ experience in community pharmacy, with regional and national roles and LPC roles. She worked for Co-op and then Well pharmacy for 17 years. Prior to joining the NHS, Alison was Director of Strategic Programmes at the not-for-profit Greater Manchester community pharmacy provider company CHL and worked part-time with Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit as a Senior Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist. From 2004 she was a committee member (and Chair from 2008) for Oldham, Tameside, and Glossop LPC. Alison was also a founding member of the GM association of LPCs (CPGM) prior to LPCs formally merging in 2016. PRINCE2 and Lean Six Sigma accredited, Alison is now Community Pharmacy Integration and Commissioning Portfolio Lead at NHS Greater Manchester ICB, responsible for the commissioning, implementation, quality assurance, clinical governance and integration of community pharmacy services across GM. Alison is also a Trustee of the sector's independent charity Pharmacist Support, championing wellbeing for the whole pharmacy family.
