Amita has had the opportunity to work with senior leaders and experience a diverse range of organisations. She has developed various skills including leadership, management, strategy and project management skills. Her roles in digital including as an EPMA pharmacist, Projects and in Pharmacy Medicines Supply Chain and Operations have exposed her to the wider digital structure and enabled her to work on projects that are national healthcare priorities to equip her as a senior leader in the future. Amita has led and supported various projects including the installation of a new dispensing robot and automated medicine cabinets at ward level. Her role included facilitating interaction with external stakeholders and companies to optimise operational flow and co-ordinating this with the department. This ultimately ensures medications reach patients safely in a timely and cost-effective way. She has subsequently had roles in national organisations, as a Chief Pharmaceutical Officer's Clinical Fellow and as a Policy advisor where she has gained insight into how national strategy is formulated and worked alongside the most senior national leaders in healthcare.
