Andy has worked in digital clinical homecare since 2004, always focussing on how innovative system design can support patient care, rather than implementing technology for its own sake. In his current role at Sciensus, Andy has collaborated with healthcare professionals at numerous NHS hospitals across the UK to identify opportunities for streamlining their work and enhancing the clinical value provided to homecare patients. This resulted in the development of the Sciensus Connect Portal, released to 9 NHS Hospital Trusts in July 2022 and growing to serve 95% of Trusts and Boards across the UK by September 2025. Andy’s current area of focus is around expanding the scope and reach of the Connect Portal and exploring various possibilities to make homecare e-Prescribing a workable reality for busy hospital homecare teams.
