Anne is currently responsible for the NHS England clinical leadership and oversight for the commissioning of community pharmacy NHS services across England. This includes leading the programme to introduce prescribing as part of community pharmacy clinical services to define a new commissioning framework and approach to professional assurance. Before joining NHS England, Anne was Chief Pharmacist and Associate Director of Service Development at NHS Direct for 12 years and NHS 111 National Clinical Pharmacy Advisor for NHS England developing a keen professional interest in remote urgent care that led to establishing the Pharmacy CAS during the Covid Pandemic. Anne’s early career in hospital pharmacy across London led to specialising in HIV and AIDS at St Mary’s Hospital incorporating a travel fellowship to the US before taking up the position of Director of the South East Thames Regional Health Authority Medicines Information Service at Guys Hospital.
