David Gill
Lived Experience Adviser, Children and Young People, Learning Disability Programme,
NHS England
David is an autistic lived experience adviser in the children and young people’s team, NHS England learning disability and autism programme. He draws on his own experiences and those of other people.
David’s main areas of work are in relation to children and young people and the needs of autistic people with a focus on Keyworking, Ask Listen Do and reducing restrictive practices including medication.
He previously worked as a peer support worker and volunteered at Speakup Self Advocacy where he is still a trustee.
David is a talented artist. His illustrations are used in documents, web content and presentations.
