Dr Khatib is a Consultant Pharmacist in Cardiology & Cardiovascular Research at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Medicine, University of Leeds. National Clinical Champion for PCSK9i and Lipids Management at NHS England Accelerated Access Collaborative. European Society of Cardiology ACNAP Science Committee Member. Member of the 2018 NICE HF Guidelines Committee Co-Chair of the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association Cardiology Group. He leads on the delivery of several innovative cardiology medicines optimisation clinics and services. Well published, with specific interest in medicines adherence, person-centred care and cardiometabolic medicines and risk optimisation.
