Elena Gwyn Jones is a Team leader/Safe medication practice pharmacist at Betsi Cadwaladr Health board. Since qualifying as a pharmacist in 2007 she has made significant contributions to the optimisation of medication management and patient outcomes in peri-operative medicine. Prior to her current role she has lead on the pharmacy service in the pre-operative clinic. Gaining her prescribing and advanced practice qualification, she was able to optimise patients medication prior to their surgery to improve post operative outcomes. Her current role has allowed her to support the development of clinical specialist pharmacist, supporting advances ensuring governance and safe practice.
