Ellen Schafheutle is an academic pharmacist with over 25 years experiences in health services and pharmacy practice research, with a focus on pharmacy policy, regulation and workforce. She has a strong track record in attracting competitive funding and she has published over 90 peer reviewed academic papers. As director of the Centre for Pharmacy Workforce Studies (CPWS) at the University of Manchester, she and her team undertake research which is closely aligned with changing pharmacy practice and workforce needs. Ellen was part of the team evaluating the Independent Prescribing in Community Pharmacy Pathfinder programme.
