Emily began her pharmacy career at Keele University in 2012 where she started her MPharm, during this time she worked as a Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer (PATO) at University Hospitals of the North Midlands (UHNM), which reaffirmed her aspirations to work in secondary care. Following graduation, Emily then went on to complete her Pre-Registration year at UHNM, qualifying in 2017. Emily worked as a rotational pharmacist then as a specialist rotational pharmacist while completing her postgraduate diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice at Keele University. In May 2022, Emily started her Advanced Specialist Pharmacist role at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust (SaTH) and completed the independent prescribing course in January 2023. Since starting the role she has developed a keen interest in improving communication methods between secondary and primary care and the significant impact it can have on patient care.
