Lead Pharmacist, Aire Valley Surgery
Emily Turner is the Lead GP Practice Pharmacist for a large practice in Leeds and the former Clinical Lead for CVD Prevention for the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. She specialises in cardio-renal disease and cardiovascular prevention, focusing on embedding evidence-based CVD care across primary care settings. Emily has led regional initiatives to optimise hypertension, lipid, and anticoagulation pathways, driving improvements in detection, treatment, and outcomes. She also contributes to national audit and policy development through her involvement with several NHS England clinical panels and advisory groups. With extensive experience in clinical education and service development, Emily delivers training and strategic support to multidisciplinary teams, helping align practice with national guidance, QOF priorities, and local population health goals. She is the founder of PREVENTIVE Health Consulting, which provides consultancy and educational services to enhance cardiovascular prevention and management across healthcare systems. A passionate advocate for pharmacist leadership in CVD care, Emily combines the latest evidence with practical experience to support service transformation, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen the role of pharmacists in delivering integrated, high-quality primary care.
