As the Pharmacist at a research active GP practice, Emma balances the day-to-day care of her patients with pharmacy oversight of the clinical trials at site. Emma’s passion for the evolution of pharmacogenomics within the NHS recently saw her expand her research experience further through completion of the NIHR Associate PI scheme on the PROGRESS study. This enabled her to take a lead role in running the study at site, offering genetic testing to patients to guide prescribing decisions and enhance patient care.
