Emma Schofield

Credentialling Lead & Primary Care Education Lead, RCP & CPPE
Emma is an experienced pharmacist and educationalist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Education, alongside a Bachelor of Science and a Pharmacy degree. She has been passionately involved in pharmacy education for over 15 years, with a particular focus on developing the clinical and professional capabilities of pharmacists across sectors. More recently, Emma has led a team of education supervisors supporting pharmacists undertaking portfolio credentialling at Core Advanced level. What began as a pilot programme has since evolved into an ongoing collaborative initiative between the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE). Emma has also contributed to national credentialling developments, including supporting a Core Advanced pilot in Wales, a critical care curriculum pilot and a pilot exploring Core Advanced credentialling with community pharmacists from an Independent Prescribing (IP) Pathfinder programme. An experienced assessor and panel chair, Emma works across both Core Advanced and Post-Registration Foundation portfolio submissions. She was recently appointed as a Credentialling Expert for the Royal College of Physicians, reflecting her expertise in assessment, professional development, and advancing pharmacy practice.
