Fatima joined the Gates Foundation in 2023- a philanthropic organisation focused on global fighting inequities where she leads the Global Health Security & Pandemic Preparedness advocacy portfolio, focusing on global policy and financing. Previously, she served as a Specialist Pharmacist in Travel-Health at NaTHNaC. Concurrently, at the UK Health Security Agency, she coordinated domestic responses to public health emergencies including COVID-19. Between 2016-2019, Fatima worked in West Africa on projects in Antimicrobial Stewardship and strengthening International Health Regulation (IHR) capacities. Fatima has worked in various London NHS Trusts since 2009 and is a Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s Fellow in Global Health.
