Gareth began his career in general as part of the first wave of the NHS England GP pharmacy pilot in April 2016, having made the move from hospital pharmacy. He worked at St Georges Medical Centre for 4.5 years, mainly performing medication reviews but also being assigned as the practice's anticoagulation lead. He moved into a lead PCN pharmacist role last month. He is also Health Education England's GP pharmacy ambassador for Cheshire and Merseyside - through which he initiated a programme that will provide GP placements for all pharmacy undergraduate students at several universities.
